Tips For Taking Care After Abortion

Ways To Correct Sagging Breasts After Pregnancy

While we welcome motherhood with open arms, there are many bodily changes accompanied by motherhood that we would rather did not exist! Sagging breasts are a problem many new mothers face. It mars their confidence and leads to depression and low self esteem.


Pregnancy brings about a lot of changes in the body. While some are permanent, others are temporary and can be dealt with using correct practices. Many mothers believe that sagging of breasts is a result of breastfeeding the baby. This belief has resulted in many young and body conscious mothers preventing their babies from suckling at their breasts. The truth however, is far from reality.


Breastfeeding is a natural process that nature has bestowed upon women. It in fact helps mothers to shed the extra kilos that they have gained during pregnancy faster and helps them get back in perfect form sooner. Breastfeeding also helps mothers to retain the shape of their breasts as opposed to popular belief.


Once you start weaning off, most breast tissues regain their previous form, though slight sagging is inevitable and cannot be avoided. However, there are ways by which we can prevent extreme sagging of breasts by following these safe practices at home. It is advised never to stop breast feeding for the benefit of the mother as well as the baby. Women who breast feed their babies are known to have reduced instances of breast cancer than women who do otherwise. Not to mention the abundant benefits the baby derives from mother’s milk!


While you are breastfeeding, your breasts remain swollen and big. As you wean, it starts to shrink due to the reduction of milk produced in the ducts. This is the time when your breasts could sag most. To combat sagging while weaning off, it is important to keep your breasts well nourished while you breastfeed.


Nourishing will ensure that the breasts do not sag too much during the weaning process. The skin must have regained some of its elasticity while you massage the cream or oil onto the skin. You can use, cocoa butter, shea butter or olive oil for massaging. Vitamin E is also good for skin regeneration and scarring. Dab on some olive oil or other non sticky oil after a bath every day.


Massaging your breast every day will improve the blood circulation and keep them soft and supple. Every day, you can spend 15-20 minutes massaging using a good natural or homemade cream. Chemical varieties may not be a good option as you are breastfeeding. Massaging will prevent the skin from shrinking and dimpling while you are weaning. They will also minimise sagging. While you massage, make sure to use upward strokes rather than downward strokes. This will strengthen the ligaments and help them to hold the breasts firmly without falling for gravity.


Start you massage from under the breasts and move to the side, upwards. Again starting from under the breast, you can move upwards till the nipple area. Start from above the nipple and move upwards, lifting the breast tissues as you massage. Again starting from the middle, circling the areole with both your thumbs and index fingers (join the thumb and index fingers to form a diamond shape for this massage), you can radiate outwards pressing the breast backwards in all directions as you massage. Repeat these massages several times every day for great results.


Exercises do not have a direct impact on lifting or preventing sagging of breasts. But chest or pectoral muscle exercises can improve the overall look of your breasts. During exercise, the pectoral and chest muscles are strengthened. This will have an impact on the breast tissues as well making them look firmer and more taut. The exercises you can try are push ups and dumbbell exercises involving the chest like a chest press. If floor push ups are difficult to attain for you, you may try doing push ups against the wall by standing.


There are easy to do exercises that are done for strengthening the ligaments of your breasts. These exercises are greatly beneficial for preventing breast sagging to a great extent. Cup the underside of your breasts using your palms. Lift them up to a position where they originally were when they were taut and perky. Hold them in that position for 20 seconds and remove your hands. This is for strengthening the ligaments underneath the breasts so that they support the breasts without sagging.


Proper feeding positions can minimise sagging to a certain extent. Most mothers position their babies in such a way that they suck by pulling the nipple downwards. This will definitely lead to sagging. While breastfeeding, you can keep a high pillow to position the baby’s mouth in level with your nipple. This will enable the baby to suck outwards, preventing sagging. You could also try placing your palm under the breast and holding it up for the baby while feeding. This gives the right support for the breasts while you breastfeed.


Lactating breasts are prone to sagging and hence require adequate support at all times. Ensure that you get the right cup size while you choose bras. They must also offer good band or wiring support underneath to prevent sagging. The straps too can be wider to effectively hold the weight of your breasts without causing pain on your shoulders and breasts.


However, a word of caution here. Lactating breasts should not be constricted in such a way that the milk ducts get clogged due to lack of blood circulation. It is important to have enough looseness around the breasts to prevent occurrences of Mastitis and abscess formations.


Following these practices during breastfeeding and afterwards will surely minimize sagging greatly, leaving you with no great cause for worry. Breast feeding and motherhood are times for enjoyment. Parenting A Child After Divorce And The Legal Aspect Of Child Custody

Mostly it is even that when there is a fight between the parents the child is the main target which gets affected the most. In order to settle their own scores or to take revenge emotionally form each other they make their child the main issue in divorce cases.


This has a severe impact on the child emotionally. Whether the parents stay with each other nicely or take divorce, a child needs love and care of both father and mother in order to become a healthy child both mentally and physically. This lies in the hands of court to send the child in the safest hands.


What does a child normally need; it’s just the love and care of both mother and father but in India we do not have the option of joint custody. In India although the court takes a balanced decision after keeping all the issues related to child custody in mind , but only one parent gets the custody of the child. So obviously the child gets devoid of love and attention of one of the parents.


Child Custody means that the court has to decide the guardianship of the child who is less than 18 years of age in case of separation amongst the parents of the child. Generally such situations arise when the parents are going through the divorce or are already divorced.


Mainly mothers are keener towards taking custody of their child as compared to men and generally the decision of the court is also in favour of the mother only. The reason being they are more attached to the child both mentally and emotionally as they give birth to the child.


But now the laws in India are also going through a revolutionary trend so courts and legal bodies are trying to decide upon laws of Joint custody. The reason being now men are also trying to get their child’s custody after divorce. In case of couples where women are working and have night shifts then the father is given preference and he gets the custody of the child. But in cases where both men and women are found incapable of handling the child nicely, the child is given in the hands of someone more caring and for the child. In such cases the custody is given to a non parent and is called non-parental custody.


Be it the mother or father who so ever gets the custody the main job of the court is to see that:


What is the financial position of the custodian? Whether the in charge of the child is in regular employment or not? What kind of living conditions does he live in? Main things which are considered while giving the custody: Good atmosphere both emotionally and physically for the child. Self security of the child and the atmosphere of the house should be cultured and devotional and the child’s age.


Physical and the mental state of the parent’s of the child should be sound.
The decision of the court is the final and last decision about the child custody. Only the court has the right to decide that who will get the legal and the physical custody of the child. If the person who gets the custody is not able to take care of the child properly and there are complaints then the court has full rights to change the custody of the child.


Unnecessarily pressurising the child, to stay with them, even before the decision of the court is out. If both the parents are staying in the same city then always let the child meet the other parent if he/she pays a visit to the child, you should never interrupt. The parents should not compete while spending and buying gifts for the child after divorce.


This will create mental pressure on the child. It is bad to involve the child in the battle of ego after divorce. It is better that the parent who has the child custody should bury the hatchet and just concentrate on both emotional and mental needs of the child. Instead of fighting even after the divorce and stopping the child from getting close to the other parent you should do your own job and stay connected with your child.


It is very important that both the parents should be counselled after the divorce about the child custody and how to move on in life. This will help in maintaining respect for each other after divorce too. The relationship should remain friendly after divorce too, for the benefit of the child.


This will help the child to enjoy the company of both the parents. Even in parents teacher meetings or any other school function he will enjoy with both the parents if you will have cordial relation post divorce with each other.


After the death of mother if the father is not found to be perfect enough to take care of the child then the grandmother of the child and that too maternal grandmother will get the custody of the child., despite father being the natural inheritor of the child.


According to the Guardian and wards act of the Supreme Court the immediate parents should get the custody of the child, but then took the court has full right to check and investigate that with which the child will live comfortably and will be in safe hands. But if the court finds that the mother is not able to keep the child comfortably then the child will not be kept in her custody, even if the child is below the age of five.


The child is allowed to spend time with the father if the wife gets the custody of the child. So it is against the law if a mother stops her child from seeing his father and that will be taken against her in the court. Thus it is very important for the parents also to understand the needs of their child and child custody when they are planning for a divorce so that the child gets both emotional and mental support of both the parents in life.

You can take a warm water bath by sitting in a tub of warm water for few minutes it will remove all the bacteria from the incision area and prevent any kind of vaginal infection too. Always remember to wipe from front to back and remove the sanitary pads also in the same way. This way you will stop bacteria from entering vagina from rectum. The sanitary napkins should be changed after every 4-6 hours to prevent any kind of leakage or infection. Use good quality sanitary pads.


Keigel exercises are good for strengthening the pelvic muscles and the muscles around vagina. If you start doing keigel exercises just consult your doctor before doing them so that he can suggest the right way and time to do them. These exercises boost the blood circulation in the pelvis area and thus improve the process of healing. Healing process takes longer time in case of caesarean birth so you need to stay in the hospital for longer time than normal delivery women. Doctors suggest you to take a walk after 24 hours and sit up also so that there is no formation of clots and the blood circulation also resumes to normal. Feet and legs movement is suggested more to improve the blood circulation after the anaesthesia.


Before leaving the hospital just take all the instructions from the nurse about taking care of the bandage and how to keep the inc9ision clean and dry. Always remember that if you will follow the instructions properly the healing process will be faster and there will be lesser chances of any type of infection in the incision.


Generally be it normal or caesarean child birth due to excessive pain and tiredness women develop dark circles and black eyes. Sometimes bruises also can be seen on women’s body during child birth in order to ease pain they breathe hold and exert downward push to help baby move down but these bruises get healed up quickly and dark circles go away with proper rest and care. These spots and cuts and bruises can be avoided if women learn the right way of controlling their breath and exerting pressure.


The diet of lactating mothers should be full of enough proteins, vitamins and liquids as they are recuperating from not only internal damage but also external damage and along with that they have to feed their baby too.


Do not get excited and start getting up close to your partner quickly after child birth, talk to your doctor and take precautionary measures for pregnancy and resume sex after the suggested time by the doctor. It takes time for the stitches to heal and the uterus to return back o normal position so just wait till all the organs of your wife return back to original shape and she says that she is ready for the intercourse.


Rest while the baby is resting and sleep when the baby is sleeping, do not try and finish your house hold whores when the baby is asleep. The more you rest the quickly you will recover.
