The first time I officially got my heart broken in the eighth grade, I cried to my dad and told him how I will never love again. I remember vividly the sad look on his face as he watched the tears pour down mine. In that moment of comfort as he hugged me, it occurred to me that I will love again. In fact, nothing quite compares to that safe feeling my dad always provided and I couldn’t be happier to have found a husband who does the same.
